Netherby Hall and its grand Grade II listed grounds rests a short car journey away, worth touring for its beauty and heritage, before crossing the English Border to tour Carlisle and its hub of amenities; be sure to discover Carlisle Castle, Carlisle Cathedral, River Eden, and the Tullie Museum whilst visiting. Round off your break at the shore, discovering the sweeping terrain of the Solway Coast AONB, before making your way back home for a home-made pizza. Enjoy a rural haven at Bogire Country Cottage. EPC Rating: Band F.

This charming community, which is located in southwest Scotland and is just across the border from England, is well-known for being the setting for runaway marriages and has appeared in a number of well-known movies and TV shows over the years. While close to the well-stocked town of Gretna, the village itself only has a limited number of services, such as a restaurant and a few lodging options and bars. For those who enjoy the outdoors, the location is fantastic. On the other side of the River Esk, you'll find the gorgeous Solway Firth and the Solway Coast aonb, which will keep you busy. In addition to the attractive Scottish cities of Dumfries, Lockerbie, and Langholm, you may cross into England and discover the lovely county of Cumbria, which offers excellent locations like Carlisle and Brampton.

It was very comfortable, providing everything you could possibly need. It is set in a beautiful, peaceful spot within easy reach of Canonbie and Langholm. So relaxing and cosy.

The cottage is stunning and in a lovely location. We also did a farm tour which our girls (10 and 12) loved and they got to get up close with the animals. Rachel was great at answering any queries and very helpful. Cottage was beautiful and we loved the hot tub too. Everything was even better than it looked in the photos.

The owner was great, our second day she took us on a farm visit which lasted an hour, she was very friendly. The cottage was in the middle of nowhere which was brilliant for us, but not in walking distance of anywhere eg shop. It would have been beneficial if the log hot tub had been lit before we arrived as it didn't warm up for the first night but teenagers loved it, even when it was cold. We had a very relaxing stress free break. We would definitely recommend it to others.
