A very nice holiday cottage set in a small village and surrounded by beautiful countryside. The local post office which is a few minutes walk sells all the basics, newspapers, milk bread, etc. etc. and depending on which way your car is facing you're either five miles from longtown or nine miles from Newcastleton, both of which have cafes, restaurants and shops for all needs. The views over the river Esk from the cottage are outstanding and the host Mark is very helpful.I recommend this cottage without hesitation.

Lovely place, nice and clean. Dad struggles with mobility but can do some steps however found the step into the shower a little steep and challenging. The main bedroom was also a bit too tight for my parents, they struggled to get around.Lovely view which we were able to appreciate sat on the decking in the sun

Lovely property, I would recommend, be prepared to drive to get anywhere, but good walking in the area. Local pub no longer open for food and limited drinks.
