This spacious, terraced cottage has been renovated throughout, and has a well maintained private garden to the rear in which to relax after a days exploring. The cottage is situated in the historic town of Gatehouse of Fleet, with its restaurants, pubs and shops. The River Fleet flows through the town and offers some lovely walks direct from the door.
The Galloway Forest Park is close by with an abundance of wildlife, including a red deer range, wild goat park and red kite feeding station. The park has been awarded the status as the first Dark Sky Park in the UK. Dumfries and Galloway offers many picturesque towns and villages to explore, including Castle Douglas, a food town with galleries, independent shops, cafés and pubs. Kirkcudbright, the artists town, offers many festivals throughout the year, including Scottish nights, classic car rallies, historic walks, a medieval fayre, a jazz festival and a spectacular Tattoo, as well as a good selection of pubs and restaurants. Beach 5¼ miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 50 yards.

Gatehouse of Fleet is the perfect location for this corner of Scotland for anyone with children or a dog, or even without either. People are lovely, local shops/cafes/restaurants are all walkable with our favourite beach 10mins away. Cally wood and Garries park are on your doorstep and are lovely to walk through day or night as the area is really safe.The property is central, large, warm and welcoming. Rooms are big, kitchen is well equipped, dining room is bright, lounge is large, and sofa is comfy. I’ve slept better here than I do in my own home, beds are so comfy. We have loved our stay here and would recommend it. The owners are lovely, sent us really helpful info before we arrived, answered us quickly and helped us have the best stay we could have wanted. Thanks for letting us enjoy your beautiful home
