House was spotlessKitchen had everything you needed for a holiday stay. Bed was very comfortable and bigThese are only personal preferences and certainly didn’t spoil our stay but a towel rail in en suite and a key box rather than carrying keys around would be good. Garden area was nice and we were lucky enough to have some good weather to make use of it. Plenty of walks available from the doorstep

We’d never been to Gatehouse of Fleet before, and were surprised how pretty it is. There are 4 good cafes and 4 good pub/restaurants, again surprising for a town with such a small population. There are both flat and more challenging walks and a thriving arts/ crafts scene, we found plenty to do and Callander’s is well placed. It is spacious, comfortable beds, very clean and well resourced. The welcome pack of bread, milk and eggs is useful, as is the information pack. We found the door handles, particularly the front door, were stiff- needed to develop a 2 handed technique to get in!!
