No problem with the cottage but people should be made aware of the approach road which is very narrow and in a poor condition

Cottage very comfortable and well set up but the half mile single track to it off main road, which it never said in write up, was terrible. So narrow, Pot holes and very bumpy. Awful state of repair, does not do your vehicle any good. Also only one passing place about three quarters up track so if you meet another vehicle from the cottage next door, to reverse is a nightmare! It was advertised with lovely walks surrounding the cottage but there weren’t any only a small garden. No wifi nor a smart tv which is disappointing. If had known about the track we would not have booked this cottage.

Great cottage in a peaceful secluded area, not far from Castle Douglas. Local village Crocketford has great wee shop too. Cottage was beautiful, cosy bedrooms and a spacious lounge and dining room. The road up to the cottage is quite rough, its necessary to drive in first gear and roll over the lumps and bumps and give the sheep time to jump back over the wall to the field. Even managed to see a bird of prey up close from drive and cottage. Enjoyed lighting a log fire too.
