We had a fantastic stay at The Smithy. The cottage itself is beautiful and was so well kept by Andrew and Margaret. Lovely welcome touches such as homemade pasta, bread and local eggs. The gardens in the cottage were stunning you could sit watching the world go by listening to stream.Lots of beautiful walks and places to explore nearby in Galloway Forest and Castle Douglas. Even with a 3 year, we found lots to keep our wee one busy.I look forward to returning to The Smithy in future
