We had a fabulous time at the smithy. It was spotless, very well equipped and a very generous welcome pack. Beautiful garden and burn but being winter didn’t get to use it much. Was lovely to wake up to the noise from the burn and the night sky on a clear night was amazing. Andrew and Margaret were fabulous hosts and I highly recommend staying here.

We selected The Smithy based on all the positive reviews and it was perfect. The house itself was fantastic as was the local shop, arts centre (CatStrand) and locations for walking. It was central to so many amazing places and coming home each evening to such a special place was brilliant. The host was really helpful and responses to all questions was quick. I would definitely stay here again.

The Smithy is a beautiful cottage, clean, spacious and cosy. It is well equipped in the kitchen and nicely set out. All the bedrooms are a good size and bright and airy. We had a lovely stay there, it was one of the best cottages we have ever stayed in.
