It is in the River Dee Valley near Tongland, 3 miles from the artists town of Kirkcudbright. The lodge is surrounded by farmland, and is home to some Belted Galloway cattle.

Criffel Lodge is big enough to accommodate a family and dog but with a cosy feel. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.The location was perfect for exploring the South West of Scotland either by car, hiking or biking. The landscape is breathtaking and the sky at night is magnificent when the weather plays ball. It's somewhere we'd be happy to return to.

Absolutely beautiful lodge situated in a gorgeous part of Dumfries, just a couple of miles away from the lovely town, Kirkcudbright.Perfect place to relax, watch all the birds in the garden. Which is secure and safe for the doggies as well which was perfect.Would highly recommend and will definitely be back.
