With a large variety of outdoor pursuits on offer, including fishing, horse riding in the Galloway Forest Park, cycling, golf and watersports, there is fun for all the family. Threave Garden and Estate, owned by the National Trust, proves to be a popular visitor attraction. Dumfries is approximately 25 miles east and Castle Douglas is 9 miles away, making this a wonderful base to tour the south west of Scotland. There is a river 275 yards away.
