The bustling market towns of Annan and Lockerbie (within 6 miles) and Dumfries (14 miles) have an excellent range of shopping and leisure facilities. The cottage is close to the stunning Solway Firth (8 miles), boasting 200 miles of spectacular rugged coastline, and mountain bikers can head off to the nearby 7stanes. Powfoot links golf course (7.5 miles), Dino Park (5 miles), Mabie Farm Park (18 miles), Caerlaverock Castle (14 miles), the Robert Burns Centre (15 miles), the Aviation Museum (15 miles), and Sweetheart Abbey (21 miles) also make great days out.
