There are 2 co-ops, (one with a Post Office) Catering wise the town has a fish and chip shop, Chinese takeaway, cafe/Bakery, two pubs and a famous Ice Cream parlour. Lochmaben Golf Club is 200yds away with the 18 hole course wrapping around the Kirk loch. (Hot meals are also available here.) There are numerous countryside walks, including the well known Annandale walk from Moffat to Annan, taking in Lochmaben on its 55 mile circuit. There is also a pharmacy,doctor, and a hairdresser if needed during your stay.
Edinburgh is one hour away on the train from Lockerbie.
