There is an abundance of fishing, birdwatching, and beautiful, exotic gardens to discover, including the many rocky coves, sandy beaches, and quaint villages along the Machars Peninsula, less than 25 miles away. Alternatively, the food town of Gatehouse of Fleet and the artists' town of Kirkcudbright are popular with visitors, both within 20 miles.
