Arriving in the cottage was like visiting friends. The welcome was warm (so was the cottage) the goodies on the dining table were generous, everything was very clean & worked well. Flowers & plants in about every room gave the place a cheerful atmosphere. And you could watch the cows in the field while doing the washing up. The cottage is well situated to explore the area in different directions. We really had a great break.

Easily one of the most comfortable and best equipped cottages we have stayed in. The owners made us very welcome and provided a fabulous welcome pack. Although the cottage is situated on a working livestock farm it was peaceful yet only a short drive to Newton Stewart. Fabulous views from the cottage and easy access to Galloway Forest and nearby attractions

High Threave is a little gem nestled in beautiful countryside. We had a lovely relaxed break whilst exploring, returning each day to a warm and cosy cottage that felt like home and nearby hosts that treated us like family. We will be back soon!
