On road parking. No smoking.. Situated in the harbour village of Port William, this cottage has an open plan living space which is on the first floor, and the two bedrooms and a family bathroom are on the ground floor. Port William, known as the ‘Machars of Galloway’ has been presented with the ‘Pride of Galloway’ award, and the area is renowned for its stunning coastline with sandy beaches, rugged shingle beaches, rocky coves and windswept cliffs.
The Southern Scottish regions boast an exceptional number of activities, from spending a quiet afternoon with a rod and reel beside one of the area’s many excellent rivers, or pushing yourself to the limit along a challenging 7stanes cycle track. Horse riding, golf, sailing, diving and numerous walks are available in the area, and with its famously mild climate and the balmy influence of the Gulf Stream, Galloway is home to some of the most beautiful and exotic gardens. Beach 20 yards. The village is quiet except for Port William Carnival week which is the first week in August. Shop 50 yards, pub 10 miles and restaurant 8 miles.

Well-appointed cottage right on the coast. Comfortable and with all equipment required to eat, sleep and live in the rural area of Port William. Great beds, good shower, tastefully decorated and furnished throughout. Cottage is situated right off the cobble beach with access gate from the back garden. Quite a steep step down from gate. Beautiful views across the bay to wake up to and the living room has large windows overlooking the water. Bliss sitting in the wooden chairs on the back decking with a book, just looking out to sea. Games chest is such a good addition and lovely touch of wine and cake upon arrival. Port William itself is quiet, but there are excellent walks and a great park above the village which our dog adored, as well as a good café (The View) serving food, drinks and ice cream, with profits going to the independent lifeboat station. There is also a Spar a 1-minute walk from the cottage. Port William is ideally situated for discovering Galloway, with Portpatrick 45 minutes away, Kircudbright around 50 minutes and Wigtown less than 30 minutes.

It is a very well appointed cottage that had everything you needed, and for an old cottage has been been very well modernised. It is fabulous location for exploring the area, which has much to offer
