This is a great place for relaxation, lie back in the super hot tub and count the stars after a busy day walking or cycling.. Ground Floor:
Living room: With wood burner, 40’’ Freeview TV and DVD player.
Dining room: With tiled floor.
Kitchen: With electric oven, electric hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine.
Shower room: With shower cubicle and toilet.. First Floor:
Bedroom 1: With zip and link super kingsize bed (can be twin beds on request) and en-suite toilet (Jack and Jill shared with bedroom 2).
Bedroom 2: With kingsize bed and en-suite toilet.. Biomass central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Initial logs for wood burner included, remainder at £5 per basket. Welcome pack.. Enclosed lawned garden with patio, garden furniture and BBQ. Hot tub for 4 (private). 1 dog welcome, to be kept on a lead at all times (working farm). Bike store. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking.. This spacious cottage, originally the old dairy house, is set on a working farm specialising in prize winning Belted Galloways and has lovely views over open countryside and a fantastic hot tub from which to relax and enjoy the views. Situated next door to the owner, the cottage is only a 5-minute drive to the popular town of Newton Stewart with shops, cafés, restaurants, a cinema and swimming pool. The location is very popular with walkers and cyclists with Glentrool, Kirroughtree and the 7Stanes mountain bike trails nearby, as well as a great choice of golf courses.
Situated on the edge of the Galloway Forest Park and the Dark Skies Park, the cottage is ideally placed to explore the beauty of South West Scotland. There is an abundance of fishing, bird watching, beautiful and exotic gardens, many rocky coves, sandy beaches and quaint villages to explore along the Machars Peninsula. The towns of Wigtown, Scotland’s National Book Town, Castle Douglas, Scotland’s food town and Kirkcudbright, the artists town, with shops, galleries, cafés and restaurants are all within easy reach. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.
