The Seaview Retreat enjoys the most peaceful of locations with stunning views towards Wigtown Bay. Quietly set on a working farm, The Seaview Retreat is comfortable and cosy and has been refurbished in 2021 with the delightful living room making the most of the stunning views. Outside, the patio area with its garden furniture and wood fired hot tub is the perfect place to sit and relax either enjoying the sun or indeed best of all the dark starry skies at night!
The area surrounding The Seaview Retreat is breathtaking, from the rugged coastlines and secluded sandy beaches, to inland The Galloway Forest Park, Britian’s largest forest park with 300 square miles of wild beauty and where you will find the world renowned 7Stanes Mountain bike trail at Kirroughtree. A short 5-minute drive from The Seaview Retreat will take you to the Isle of Whithorn, an attractive little harbour village where you can sail, fish or just sit and relax overlooking the bay while perhaps enjoying a meal or glass of wine in the pub or tearoom. Visit Wigtown, which has officially been designated as Scotland’s National Book Town with a wide range of book related businesses, a book lovers haven. The larger town of Newton Stewart, known as the Gateway to the Galloway Hills, also has many excellent shops and places to eat.
Further along the coast you can visit many pretty little ports like Sandhead and Portpatrick, or visit Scotland’s most southerly point, the rspb Scotland Mull of Galloway Nature Reserve, where thousands of seabirds nest in the cliff face during the spring and summer.
The Seaview Retreat can be booked together with The Dairy @ Kevans (UK35885) and Kevans Farmhouse (UK35886) to accommodate up to 14 adults and 2 children.

The Seaview retreat accomadation that we booked, was a derelict caravan, with debis inthe wood fired hottub. No one was at property, called owner several times, voice mail. After travelling for 61/2hrs, then having to wait 1hr 10mins to be told we in cottage. Which was clean and well equipped. Whilst we there, was informed that that property we booked as not been in use for quiet awhile, so why are they still advertising this property. My ratings are based on the Seaview retreat we booked , not the cottage.

Upgraded to a wee cottage with electric hot tub. Super clean, warm and everything you need for a lovely stay. Host was friendly and quick to respond to any queries. Would absolutely recommend staying here :)

We arrived and had been upgraded to the 2 bed cottage 😍We cant tell you how wonderful this place is. The cottage is immaculate, spotlessly clean, very well decorated and cosy. Everything you need has been thought of plus we had a lovely welcome pack. Beds are very comfy and the large shower is great. Lovely paved garden area and the hot tub was amazing.Allison was very helpful and kind.We had a flat tyre after hitting a pot hole and they were wonderful., especially as it was New Year's Eve. Son came and put the spare on for us, and also took the wheel to get a new tyre on, came back and put back on for us on New Years Day.The cottage is very secluded, our only neighbours were a barn full of cows next door who were all very chatty and charming🤣.The only passers by were tractors tooing and frowing to the farm. All very pleasant and give you a wave if you're outside.A great local taxi driver took us to the local pub new years eve and brought us back. Very friendly chap and very reasonable.Shops are a few miles away so need to drive as cottage is quite remote.But the peace and privacy was just perfect for us.Will definitely be back!
