Guests consistently praise the Wee Dug Hoose for its tranquility, cleanliness, and picturesque setting. The cottage offers a peaceful retreat with stunning views, a secure garden for pets, and a sunroom that's a hit for relaxation. Its remote location is ideal for a quiet getaway, though some guests mention the low ceilings and single beds as points to consider. The proximity to beaches and local attractions adds to its charm, making it a highly recommended stay for those seeking a serene holiday.
Reviewers unanimously commend the cottage for its spotless condition upon arrival, indicating meticulous maintenance and a high standard of cleanliness.
The location is celebrated for its quiet, countryside charm and proximity to the beach, though the distance to shops and services is noted. The scenic views and wildlife add to the location's appeal.
The cottage is described as cosy and warm, with a particularly beloved sunroom. However, the mention of low ceilings and single beds suggests that comfort may be slightly compromised for taller individuals or those preferring double beds.
Facilities are generally well-received, with the property being well-equipped for self-catering. Some guests suggest minor improvements, such as new mattresses, but overall the facilities meet guests' needs.
Guests appreciate the generous welcome hamper and treats for dogs, reflecting the hosts' thoughtfulness. While these gestures are warmly mentioned, it's noted that such extras, though delightful, may vary and are not guaranteed.

The Wee Dug House is a fantastic place if you want complete peace and quiet away from everyday life. Everything that was needed was there and was very clean and well stocked for self catering. It a 10 min drive to Stranraer which has supermarkets. Don’t rely on takeaways they don’t deliver to remote location. All in all a fantastic cottage where if you want quiet and sleep and relaxing it for you.

Honestly I would quite happily live there, waking up every morning with that view and the sound of the ocean, deers playing about in the fields behind us, listening to the cows mooing, very little if any traffic just perfect. If you want a quite chilled get away then this is your place. The shops are about 20mins away and theres some really nice places to visit beaches, caves, castles not to far away. The dogs absolutely loved it, there both 9 years old and were like puppies again especially my labrador on the gorgeous beaches.Instructions on how to get there, get keys and the rules to follow of the cottage where clear and easy to follow **
