Bike store. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking.. Ardwell Park is a delightful, semi-detached cottage, which has been thoughtfully furnished by the owners to offer the perfect home from home. Situated in the quiet village of Ardwell on the spectacular and dramatic coastline of south west Scotland and is also on the designated and scenic ‘Southwest Coastal 300’, a stunningly scenic 300-mile road trip around the south west of Scotland. This pretty little cottage offers couples and all the comforts of home. The living/dining room, with its bay window, is the perfect spot to sit and enjoy a family meal where you can also enjoy the views of the sea. The bedrooms are decorated in soft colours and complemented by the furnishings whilst the shower room is modern and bright. The gardens at Ardwell Park are beautifully laid out and you can sit and relax in the evening, perhaps with a glass of wine, with uninterrupted views over open farmland.
This corner of south west Scotland, known as ‘The Rhins of Galloway’ is an unspoilt area and boasting idyllic scenery and amazing seascapes, as dramatic as they are beautiful. Just along the road from Ardwell Park is Drummore, Scotland’s most southerly village, and a short drive from the village is the Mull of Galloway, Scotland’s most southerly point. With its rspb visitor centre, the area is designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest, and you can enjoy a stunning circular walk where thousands of seabird nests in the cliff face during the spring and summer. Harbour porpoises, dolphins, seals, otters and minke whales can also be spotted. Walking in the area is a delight whether clifftop, beaches, hills or forests, and is a cyclist’s paradise, with miles of quiet country lanes on your doorstep as well as the world famous 7Stanes within easy reach. Golfing and fishing opportunities are also in abundance in the area, so everyone is catered for. No stay would be complete without a visit to Logan Botanic Gardens, world renowned and Scotland’s most exotic garden, where you can discover the most remarkable collection of beautiful and unusual plants from south and central America, southern Africa, Australia, and New Zealand, it really is a paradise to behold. A comfortable property, spotlessly clean and so well-equipped. Being greeted by the host, Janet, was lovely. Absolutley loved staying at Ardwell Park. Janet was a fabulous host and and the accomodation was great. Everything was just as described and the place was immaculate. Our stay was very comfortable and relaxing. This was our first visit to Stranraer and the cottage made an ideal base for visits to The Mull of Gallaway, Portpatrick, Drummore and Stranraer town centre. There is a very friendly scenic parkrun at Agnew Park in Stranraer and the Driftwood Cafe does a fabulous post run breakfast. We used our bikes to get around and the roads were very quiet. There are quite a few steep climbs though, particularly up to the Mull of Gallaway!Ardwell Place is perfect if you are looking for a quiet relaxing stay, but also lends itself scenic drives, cycling and walking straight from the door.

Comfortable cottage everything you need, good area for exploring good scenery and walks in the area, very quiet and peaceful. Port Logan nice beach to have long walk when tide is out, Portpatrick also a nice village to visit.
