A very generous welcome pack which was much appreciated. A warm, cosy and comfortable cottage which came well equipped for everything we needed. The location is ideal for the coast and its walking options and close to Portpatrick (and Stranraer). We also had an enjoyable afternoon at Castle Kennedy Gardens which is also close by. A thoroughly quiet and relaxing time and the weather was mainly good too!

The Old Cheese Loft is a wonderful quality cottage, and very well equipped.The owner had put in so many addional touches, such as a welcome basket with homemade shortbread and jam, local cheese and biscuits, tea and coffee etc ~ all very nice.The cottage is very comfy, cosy and warm.We did not need it, but plenty of additional bedding etc in the cupboards if required. There was also plenty of toilets rolls, kitchen rolls, soap and cleaning products ~ which seemed very generous.The cottage is very peaceful, although on a working farm there was no farm work that would in any ways disturb the lovely feel of the cottage.The whole area outside is very very clean and well kept.The cottage is a perfect base, well situated, with easy access to the beautiful surrounding area.The owners are very friendly and just want you relax and enjoy the cottage, but when I needed help due to a problem with my car, they went beyond the call of duty to help ~ I really appreciated this.Hope to return soon {without the problem with the car!!}

Great cottage, warm, clean and well equipped. Came for rest and relaxation and that's what you get with the cottage and local area. Stunning beach to walk along at Luce Bay and the Mull of Galloway scenery takes your breath away.
