Close to Carnoustie for serious golfers, Monifieth enjoys a lovely location with a fine sandy beach, numerous country walks and a good range of leisure amenities. Monikie and Crombie Country Parks are close by and offer a good variety of leisure pursuits for all the family. Particularly popular is Monifieth’s Blue Seaway, an outdoor recreation area with children’s adventure playground and wheeled sports area for older children. The city of Dundee is just 7 miles away with its wealth of shops, theatre, arts and culture. Make a visit to RRS Discovery to learn about Captain Scott and Ernest Shackleton at the multi award-winning Discovery Point, and experience one of the greatest stories ever told. Explore the beauty of Angus, with its idyllic beaches, rugged glens, championship golf courses, seaside towns, market burghs, turreted castles and ancient relics.
