Crail House is a well-received cottage in Anstruther, praised for its stunning views, comfortable beds, and well-equipped kitchen. Guests appreciate the clean, cosy environment and the beautiful, well-maintained grounds. The location is ideal for exploring the local area, with easy access to the harbour and town. While some minor issues are noted, such as the lack of a dishwasher and a cold shower room, the overall experience is very positive, with many guests planning to return.
Guests consistently mention the cottage's cleanliness, describing it as 'very clean' and well-kept, indicating a high standard of cleanliness throughout the property.
The location is frequently highlighted as fantastic, with amazing views and proximity to the harbour and town, making it an ideal spot for guests.
Comfort is a strong point, with numerous mentions of comfortable beds and a cosy living room. However, some guests found the downstairs bedrooms and shower room to be very cold.
The property is well-equipped, but some guests noted the absence of a dishwasher and limited fridge space. The maintenance of the property is good, though there were issues with the router after a storm.
While guests appreciated the welcome bottle of fizz, as gifts are not consistently mentioned across reviews, it cannot be guaranteed and thus the score for thoughtfulness cannot be accurately assessed.

Comfortable cottage with great views, a well kept private garden and off street parking. Beds very comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped. The shared garden area is very well kept and the views from the shared garden are absolutely stunning.

The accommodation was more like a home from home rather than a holiday rental. The quality and comfort is the best we have ever seen and the setting gave us fabulous views over the beautiful town of Crail with the read tiled roofs and multicoloured houses and the traditional harbour. We shall return!

Fantastic views and comfy beds! The layout of the property is unusual and took a bit of getting used to! The kitchen was well equipped (although no dishwasher) and the welcome bottle of fizz was much appreciated! The living room was cosy with local pottery around the room, and with a huge window looking out on to the water, it was a different view every day. The bedrooms were spacious with fresh linens on the beds. The walk in shower was lovely although without any hand rail/handle etc, it wouldn't be suitable for those with mobility issues.Getting out and about was easy as the harbour was a 2 minute walk away and the main street was approx 5 minutes. The property owners were lovely, we had to contact them from the beginning as we couldn't find the house, then when the lightening storm caused the router to fail, they organised for BT to come and fix it.Hopefully we'll get to come back!!
