There are lovely coastal walks on the Fife Coastal Path which takes you to award-winning sandy beaches, pretty coves and historic buildings along the way. For keen cyclists, the Millennium Cycle Way runs through central Fife, with miles of quiet country roads, disused railways and forest tracks to explore. Just a little further along the coast is the bustling tourist harbour town of Anstruther and there are daily ferries and boat trips leaving between April and September that take you to the Isle of May, which is a National Nature Reserve. It is home to colonies of sea birds including puffins and the surrounding waters are the habitat of seal colonies. St Andrews is just 10 miles away and is well worth a visit with historic buildings, Sea Life Centre, boutique shops, and a wide range of bars and restaurants. This area is famous for its golf, with more than 40 golf courses in Fife, from the famous fairways of St Andrews to several traditional links courses and beautifully landscaped parkland and heathland courses.
Having spent your day exploring the area you can relax in the first floor seating area and enjoy the views with a glass of wine. A lovely house that could do with some decor updating but very well catered for in terms of supplies. Welcome gift much appreciated and house facilities were great. Bed very comfortable. ...always a win! The only issue was a temperamental heating system which we managed through the boiler controls. Some radiators don't work at all and others were a mystery! However the views of the sea and the lovely surroundings of St Monans and the Fife coast more than made up for it! Would definitely stay again.

This is a lovely, comfortable & spacious cottage with a large dog-friendly enclosed garden. The cottage was clean & very well equipped. It is in a very good location for visiting the East Neuk coast.

A cosy clean cottage and a nice welcome pack.Sadly the area itself was sadly lacking in amenities, although offered lively walks and beautiful scenery .
