Guests say

The Sailmakers Loft in Anstruther is a well-received holiday rental, praised for its comfort, cleanliness, and prime location. Guests have enjoyed the cosy, well-equipped apartments with sea views and the proximity to local amenities. While parking can be challenging and the stairs may be a consideration for some, the overall experience is highly regarded, with many expressing a desire to return.

Guests consistently mention the property being very clean and well maintained, indicating high standards of cleanliness.

The location is frequently described as fantastic, central, and accessible to the harbour, shops, and bars, although parking is noted as a potential issue.

The apartment is repeatedly referred to as comfortable, cosy, and quiet, with a comfortable bed and spacious rooms, although some guests mentioned noise from the restaurant.

Facilities are generally praised as well-equipped and high quality, but there are comments about lighting issues and the smell from the restaurant's extractor fan, which suggests some room for improvement.

While some guests mentioned welcome treats, there is not enough information to assess the consistency of this gesture across all stays, and it should be noted that such gifts are a delightful surprise rather than a guaranteed amenity.

We had a lovely 4 nights at this very comfortable wee apartment. It's very central for amenities, parking is in a very narrow street but we always managed to get parked ok. Only drawback for us was the smell of food from the restaurant downstairs on the one night it was open during our stay - the extractor fan pipe seems to come out close to the bottom of the stairs and the smell drifted up to the front door and into the hallway - but thankfully not to the rest of the house. There are a lot of stairs, and the lighting is a bit of a challenge as it kept going off when we were halfway up the stairs! The apartment is very well equipped and extremely cosy and we wouldn't hesitate to return. Lovely restaurants just a few minutes walk away (we didn't try the one downstairs as it only opened on our last day and we'd plans already made) and a lovely pub for drinks just at the end of the road (The Ship Tavern). Highly recommend this lovely accommodation and Anstruther is a stunning place to visit.
