18 Fallows Fall is an agreeable pet-friendly caravan nestled in Shell Bay, near Lower Largo, Fife. Ideal for families or friends seeking a seaside escape in Fife, this abode features beach proximity, an open-plan layout and on-site facilities. Pulling in beside 18 Fallows Fal, you can park directly on the grassed area next to the caravan, making arrival easy and unhurried. With bags gathered and the sea air drifting through the park, first impressions are of a well‑kept coastal retreat set up for relaxed family stays. Ascend the stairs to the deck and enter. Open the door and step into a generously sized open-plan living space, designed for shared time without feeling crowded.
The sitting area invites you to kick off sandy shoes and stretch out, whether that is with a film playing softly on the Smart TV or the gentle warmth of the gas fire flickering as evening draws in. A fold‑down bed tucks neatly into this space, transforming the room at night without interrupting its daytime flow, ideal for children or an extra guest. The kitchen sits close at hand, with conversations carried easily, while meals are prepared. Here, mornings begin with fresh coffee brewing and toast warming as plans are made for the day ahead, while later the space provides amenities just as easy for simple suppers or easy takeaway evenings.
Pull up a chair around the dining table, a comfortable place to gather over breakfast, spread out maps, or linger long after plates are cleared. One of the thoughtful features of the caravan reveals itself as you move through the space. The bedrooms are set at opposite ends of the property, offering a welcome sense of privacy and separation, particularly well-suited to families or two couples sharing. At one end, the master bedroom features a standard double bed with the convenience of its own en‑suite shower room. At the other end, the twin bedroom sits close to the shower room, making it easy to rinse away the day after time spent on the beach or woodland paths nearby.
The walk‑in shower offers a refreshing reset, whether you are starting the day or winding down. Step outside to the decking in the morning for a brew amongst the fresh air. This suntrap space is ideal for outdoor breakfasts, evening drinks, or simply sitting back while your dog settles nearby after a long walk. Explore the wider park further, the clubhouse brings a lively energy in the evenings with entertainment on offer, while the dog‑friendly restaurant makes dining out simple and relaxed. A short wander leads you to the beachfront sauna, which you can book for moments of indulgence. Woodland walks are ideal for shaded afternoon strolls, and a handy on‑site shop for holiday essentials, alongside a cafe, takeaway and arcade that add to the family-friendly holiday atmosphere.
The beach itself is close enough for spontaneous trips, whether for early morning walks or sunset views. When you feel like venturing further, the surrounding area offers rewarding days out within an easy drive. St Andrews draws you in, take a trip to the coastal castle ruins, St. Andrews Castle, dating back to the 13th century, explore the secret passages and dungeons and soak in the views surrounding you. For a relaxed family day out, St Andrews Aquarium offers close-up encounters with blacktip reef sharks and playful penguins, alongside over 100 species of colourful fish to discover, with the added delight of meerkats on site.
18 Fallows Fall is a great base, a coastal base for families and friends exploring Fife.
Lower Largo is a small fishing village in a conservation area at the mouth of the River Keil on the Firth of Forth. The village was the birthplace of Alexander Selkirk who was reputed to be the inspiration for Robinson Crusoe. There is a statue of Selkirk in the village and the Crusoe Hotel also pays homage to the village’s famous son. Lower Largo is home to a local shop and a couple of pubs; however the focal point of the village has to be the pretty harbour and south facing beach. Just outside the village are three golf courses, whilst the home of golf at St Andrews is eleven miles away. Just a couple of miles from Lower Largo is the small town of Leven which has a good selection of shops and pubs. A pretty village in a delightful seaside location.
