This lovely, spacious holiday home is in a peaceful setting overlooking a wooded den with the Lumbo Burn at its foot. Only a 20 minute walk along the Lade Braes into the heart of historic St Andrews, or up to Craigtoun Park and the Dukes golf course. Shopping, eating places and the Byre theatre in St Andrews; also of course, the six town golf courses. Shop and pub 1 mile.

Nice big house in a very quiet location but.Did the usual "Google Earth" search before we booked so knew it was on the very edge of StAndrews but, didn't search in great detail. Thought there would be maybe small local shops and possibly a pub. We do a lot of walking and did some coastal walks while we were there but, nearest shop is a Morrisons 15 - 20 minute walk away. Not handy if you just need milk or bread. Everything else is "in town". Either a 35 minute walk along "The Lade" which is a nice walk or, bus every 20 minutes or so which, depending on which one can also take 30 minutes into town. Neither really handy after a day out. Didn't want to be running about in the car as it was supposed to be a break. Basically, the house is fine but be prepared to do a lot of walking, busing or driving if you want to do anything.

A lovely home with all you need, we have been here a few time & it's always been good, would recommend to any family, lots to do in the area with walks at back door.
