We loved our stay at the cow boy Cabin…..my Grandson’s age 2 & 3 loved the farm life..walking out the front door and seeing the cows and sheep in the field. They loved seeing the green tractor daily. There is a games room that kept the kids occupied as well as the trampoline.Took my elderly Mum who loved the hot tub and seating area outside. The owners are friendly and go out their way to make you feel welcome from the minute you arrive until you leave. The cow boy cabin is situated 30 minutes away from Glasgow town centre in the car. Perfect location :-) there’s a tesco 5 miles down the road and there is a local Scotmid about 3 miles away.Couple of small issues with the water and pressure……just make sure adults are in control of running the bath as the hot water is scalding temperatures. If your running the bath and if someone is in the shower, the pressure changes the temperature one minute is nice temperature then scalding hot then it goes cold. We spent the rest of the time with just using the bath or shower to save anymore issues.I will be definitely booking the cow boy cabin again

I find it hard to leave a bad review as Dave the guy who’s property it is you can’t fault him he is super welcoming friendly and I challenge anyone to beat him in a game of table tennis 🏓. But let’s get to it we stayed in the cowboy cabin it is extremely rustic lots of charm it is 2 separate buildings so if you have younger children it’s not ideal the hot tub is a plus’s. The cabins are hot or cold and no in between and hard wood floors so footwear is needed all the time the beds are comfortable and clean bedding and towels. The kitchen is well equipped clean and homely. So the bad bit is the bathrooms the one in the master is unsafe my son was first to find this out the shower over the bath is useless he nearly burnt himself and in doing so he nearly tipped the bath over as it’s not fixed to the floor thus resulting in me having to fix the pipes underneath as it started fooling the second shower is a wet room type and trust me everything gets wet no shower curtain the water tries to escape the room instead of going to the drain witch needs to be a bit lower in the floor. The place is rundown and all could do with some TLC bits of tape holding things together is not a solution if you are just passing through it’s ok for a night or two but not ideal for any longer.
