I really don’t know how you had time to bake it!I do hope you get some rest once lambing has finished! If you want peace and quiet, walks from the door and the feeling of being immersed in nature this is the place to be!

We had a fantastic stay at the Barn, it’s ideally placed to explore Glasgow, Stirling, Loch Lomond and the Trossachs. The barn is on a lovely farm, built onto the side of the farmhouse as one quarter of a courtyard but still private. It was cozy, airy, had a good kitchen and plenty of hot water (all things to look for in a holiday cottage). The bakery in the neighbouring village (Balfron) is well worth checking out, as is the soup dragon cafe a little further out. The scenery around the farm is outstanding, but a short drive also gets you to the lochs. Watch out for the farm track if you have a low car - we were fine in a mini, but if you were in something sporty you’d struggle.
