From Lochcarron you can easily access the Applecross Peninsula by taking the famous Bealach na Ba mountain pass road, not the easiest of journeys but the views from this route are unforgettable and well worth the journey. The central location of the village means that access to such places as Skye, Plockton and Torridon is very easy.
