Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking. Please note: No children under 12 years old. There is an unfenced loch, 50 yards away.. This detached holiday home is in a stunning shore side position, only 50 yards from the sea and rocky shore, and with amazing views across Broadford Bay to the Applecross Hills. Tour the surroundings with Portree, Glenelg, Plockton and Applecross nearby. Visit Clan Donald Centre and Gardens, Kylerhea Otter Hide, Serpentarium Reptile World, coral beaches, Talisker Distillery, Glenelg Brochs and Eilean Donan Castle. Enjoy walking, boat trips and pony trekking. Rocky beach 100 yards. Shop 500 yards, pub and restaurant 300 yards.

Excellent location on the edge of Broadford Bay with sweeping views of the small islands, Applecross even part of Rona. Various birds are constant visitors and on two evenings a deer settled in the garden. The position by the main road means easy access to all parts of the island and the bridge is within 15 mins drive, the roads to Sleat and Strathaird are very nearby. It’s been recently redecorated since our last visit in 2024 and there’s no doubt we will return.

Our second visit to the property. The view from the conservatory is amazing. However I've downgraded the comfort rating as some more comfortable chairs/sofa to admire such as view would make it even better. Overall the property is well equipped and has most items to cook and self cater. On our last visit we noted that there was no egg cups in the property for boiled eggs for breakfast, a pity that the such a simple request has not been actioned two years on. We were blessed with two weeks of good weather and lots of wildlife sighted from the conservatory including dolphins/porpoises in the bay on the last night. Would be helpful if there were cleaning products that are suitable for use with the septic tank in the cottage as it is not easy to work out which cleaning products can be used when you go shopping for these items.

Beautiful cottage in a beautiful location. Had a fantastic time here. Would highly recommend this as a base for travelling over the Island and over on the mainland West Coast. Hope to return some day to this beautiful cottage and location. Zoe, the caretaker was very helpful when we had a small issue with the washing machine. Very friendly and helpful person.The views were spectacular from the conservatory and this was where we spent most of our time when at the cottage. Left with very happy memories of our time here.
