Curlew Croft is a charming, dog-friendly cottage in a stunning, peaceful location with breathtaking sea views and easy access to beautiful beaches and local attractions. Guests consistently praise the privacy, well-equipped home-from-home feel, and secure garden, making it ideal for families and pets. While some mention minor cleanliness issues and an older bed, these are outweighed by the many positives, including the welcoming atmosphere and excellent base for exploring the area. The local pub is highly regarded, and the owner’s care during adverse weather was appreciated. Most guests would happily return and recommend the property.
Several guests noted minor cleanliness issues, such as dust, the need to clean on arrival, and a musty smell in the bedroom. However, these did not significantly detract from their overall enjoyment, and most found the property acceptable, especially considering the rural setting.
The location is widely praised for its tranquillity, stunning sea views, proximity to beaches, and easy access to local shops and attractions. Guests found it ideal for relaxation and exploring the area.
Guests described the cottage as a home from home, with a cosy atmosphere and secure garden for dogs. One guest mentioned the bed was a bit old and lumpy, but overall comfort was rated highly.
The cottage is described as very well equipped, with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The enclosed garden, open fire, and ample amenities were appreciated, though some maintenance (e.g., cleaning) could be improved.
The owner’s thoughtful gesture of checking in during a storm was noted and appreciated. While no gifts were mentioned, the care shown by the owner contributed positively to guests’ experiences. Please note that such gestures are not guaranteed.

Excellent location for total peace and rest from the busy everyday life.I am aware some reviews complain about the cleanliness but honestly it was only a bit of dust and with harvesting going on, it’s to be expected. The views were amazing and only a short walk or drive to local shops, pubs and magnificent beaches where there are lots of wild life to see.Given we went later in the season we simply took a flask and snacks and sat watching the world go by on one of the many beaches. We had are dog with us who loved the freedom of the garden, warmth of the open fire and running free on the beaches. My only niggle was the bed was a tad old and lumpy, but other than that a fab Croft I’m sure we’d visit again.
