Enrick House is a wonderful base for families or groups of friends wanting to explore Loch Ness, Inverness, Fort Augustus and Drumnadrochit where Enrick House is located. The house is very spacious, very homely and offers four bedrooms and generous living spaces. It also offers a well-equipped gym for those that like to keep up their fitness levels and front and back gardens. You are welcome to bring one furry friend with you to share your amazing walks and adventures. The house offers a utility room that makes cleaning your pet easy.

The mighty Loch Ness contains more water that all the lakes of England and Wales combined. This wonderful corner of the Highlands is world famous for its dramatic scenery, thrilling adventure sports, castles and solitary lighthouses dotting its superb landscapes. Drumnadrochit lies at the head of the Urquhart Bay on the Loch Ness shore. It is the centre of the Loch Ness Monster tourism industry in Scotland and is lovely. It boasts a good selection of cafes, bars, pubs and restaurants, a village green, a shop and post office, gift shops and the popular Loch Ness Monster exhibition. Guests staying at Enrick House enjoy wonderful hikes, mountain biking, water sports, trips on the loch and visits to wonderful historic buildings such as the stunning Urquhart Castle. For a more urban day out, you can head to Inverness for a spot of retail therapy, a delicious lunch, or a visit to one of its museums, art galleries, Inverness Castle or the Inverness Botanical Gardens. The Great Glen Way, a seventy-three-mile-long distance path running from Fort William to Inverness passes through the village.

Enrick House is a detached house that was recently renovated. It sits in the heart of Drumnadrochit village in a peaceful cul-de-sac just 2km from the loch, 1km from the exhibition centre and 1km from the Great Glen Way. The house is built over two levels with all four bedrooms on the upper floor. The living room, in forest green and white is traditional in design and offers a crackling wood burning stove for chilly evenings. The dining room comes all in white with another wood burning stove and a modern dining table and benches. The very generous sized kitchen will please the chefs in your group. With modern wooden cabinetry and a good selection of appliances, it is a great space to cook a hearty breakfast or dinner. The gym is very well-equipped and can be used as a playroom if you have little ones with you. Doors open from here to the rear garden. One of the bathrooms is located on the ground floor with a shower.

Upstairs you will discover three double bedrooms. One of these offers a double bed and an ensuite shower room. The other three all come with double beds and televisions for long lazy lie-ins. One of the bedrooms enjoys access to a private balcony with a bench, a great spot for your morning cup of coffee. Guests in these bedrooms share a family bathroom with a bath and shower and the downstairs shower room.

Enrick House is located in the picturesque village of Drumnadrochit by Loch Ness. The loch is shrouded in mystery with tales of its large monster living deep beneath its waters since the first photograph emerged in 1933. With over one thousand witness accounts and unexplained evidence, scientists continue to be baffled by the existence of Nessie. You can take a Nessie cruise from Drumnadrochit to look for yourselves.

Lying near the west shore of Loch Ness at the foot of Glen Urquhart, Drumnadrochit is delightful. The village sits close to the villages of Milton, Kilmore, and Lewiston. It is an area of great natural beauty and magnificent scenery. Drumnadrochit’s Loch Ness Centre walks you through five hundred years of Loch Ness history. You will delve deeper into places, people, stories, and scientific research that have turned Nessie into an iconic Scottish legend.

The magnificent Urquhart Castle, on the shore of the loch, was once one of Scotland’s largest castles. It saw great conflict during its five hundred years as a medieval fortress. Control of the castle passed backwards and forwards between the Scots and English during the Wars of Independence. The last of the troops during the Jacobite Risings blew the castle up when they left, and Urquhart’s ruins remain. You will remember a visit to Urquhart Castle for a very long time. Sitting on its rocky promontory, it is stunning. You can take in the Grant Tower, imagine splendid banquets in the Great Hall and peer into the gloomy prison cell.

The City of Inverness is only fourteen miles away. It is known as the ‘Capital of the Highlands’ and boasts a great selection of museums, a theatre, leisure facilities, shops, pubs, and restaurants. You can visit the Ness Islands, a group of islands in the middle of the River Ness which are connected by Victorian suspension bridges. It is lovely on a sunny day to wander along the quiet riverside paths that surround the Ness Islands.

Fort Augustus is located on the southern tip of Loch Ness on the Great Glen Way. It is loved by tourists for its panoramic scenic views and serene atmosphere. The Caledonian Canal is sixty miles long, sitting between Inverness and Fort William. Fort Augustus is home to a fascinating Heritage Centre that gives an insight to the canal and the people that have lived there for many centuries. Fort Augustus’ Clog and Craft Shop is a wonderful gift shop selling handmade clogs, leather products and keepsakes. Its Iceberg Glassblowing Studio offers a stunning range of contemporary glass artwork.

Close to Fort Augustus is the ‘Outdoor Capital of the UK’ Fort William which has easy access to Glencoe, The Mamores and Glen Sheil. You are spoilt for options of land and water sports including canyoning, coasteering, white water rafting and paintballing.
