Minutes from the apartment is the very pretty village of Fort Augustus, which lies on the banks of Loch Ness where it meets the Caledonian Canal. This bustling Highland village has shops, restaurants, bars, and boat trips. Inverness and Fort William are both just a 45-minute drive away. The Isle of Skye is just over an hour’s drive, and one of the most beautiful roads in Scotland taking you through the Kintail mountain range. On route, Eileen Donan Castle is worth a visit, as is the beautiful coastal village Plockton. You’ll be spoilt for choice for activities on your doorstep including salmon fishing, walking, climbing, pony trekking, golf and so much more!
