What a wonderful few days we have had at Seashell Lodge!The lodge is so beautifully appointed it is like a real home from home, so with that and such warm welcome from the hosts, the bread, milk, eggs, sausages & bacon waiting for us when we arrived, and the views across the sea to Skye, all made the long drive worth every moment.So long as you don’t expect everything on your doorstep and open when you want it, you won’t be disappointed (this is the Scottish West Coast after all). There is now a great Coop in Gairloch so you have everything you need 15-20 minutes away.Seashell Lodge was perfect escape for the two of us and the two dogs, and we hope to return as soon as we are able to.

We had a great holiday in this lovely wee lodge. It was just perfect for having a nice relaxing week enjoying the views and amazing sunsets! Hosts were lovely too.

Seashell lodge is a hidden gem owned by a lovely couple Paul and Carol who absolutely go out of their way to ensure you have a perfect holiday. The lodge is beautiful inside and out, tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. The welcome pack is also amazing, fresh eggs from their free roaming chickens, and gorgeous bacon and sausages. The welcome pack is very generous indeed. Unfortunately the weather was not on our side, but then again that’s why our beautiful country is so lush and green, and to be honest, didn’t stop us from doing things. Gairloch is just a couple of miles down the road, I would definitely recommend a visit to Badachro Inn for some really fresh seafood, some of the best I’ve ever had and caught locally from the man who lives on Dry Island, a five min boat ride a ish the water. We also bought some of his freshly caught and cooked Langoustine from the harbour, absolutely delicious! The lodge is peaceful and a real retreat away from the demands of our busy lives… well worth a visit.
