Grantown-on-Spey 1.5 miles. A very well-presented detached stone cottage, bordering a working farm, set in fabulous Speyside countryside on a private estate less than two miles from Grantown-on-Spey. This historic Grantown cottage was once the old laundry building for nearby Castle Grant, and is ideal for a family or group of friends who want a get-away-from-it-all location coupled with wonderful outdoor space and open scenery. There are three bedrooms in this Grantown cottage, one with an en-suite bathroom, a cosy and tastefully-furnished sitting room with warming woodburning stove and a lovely spacious and very well-equipped kitchen with dining area. A private Rhododendron-lined driveway leads from the public road onto the estate, and another private driveway leads up to this Grantown cottage, which has a large, one-acre natural garden to the front along with a seating area. This is a wonderful space for everyone to enjoy. The smart highland town of Grantown-on-Spey is close by and offers excellent local services and facilities for shopping and dining out. Fishing is available on the River Spey and the whole of the Cairngorms National Park is here to enjoy. Close to your Grantown cottage is the Revack Estate, with lovely walks in the pine woods and great views over the Cairngorm Mountain. After your walk treat yourself to a meal or snack in their fabulous restaurant. Whatever you decide to do, returning to your Grantown cottage will ensure your highland holiday is just perfect!
