Cuillin View is a well-loved cottage on the Isle of Skye, praised for its stunning views, cleanliness, and well-equipped nature. Guests describe it as comfortable, cosy, and a perfect retreat for relaxation amidst quiet rural surroundings. The property's remote location is seen as an idyllic escape, though some mention the access roads are challenging.
Reviewers consistently highlight the cottage's cleanliness, with one guest naming it the cleanest they've stayed in. The immaculate condition contributes significantly to the positive experiences.
The location is highly praised for its amazing views and peacefulness, though accessibility is noted as an issue due to potholed tracks. Its remoteness is appreciated for tranquillity and proximity to local attractions.
Guests find the cottage cosy and relaxing, with a warm atmosphere and comfortable furnishings. The presence of a multi-fuel fire adds to the comfort level, making it a cosy retreat.
The cottage is described as well-equipped with kitchen appliances, toiletries, and even binoculars for wildlife watching. The provision of coal and wood for the fire is a welcomed touch.
The mention of a welcome pack for guests and their pets indicates a level of thoughtfulness. However, as gifts are not guaranteed for every stay, this is a considerate gesture rather than a standard amenity.

We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It was immaculately cleaned and had everything you'd possibly need - torches, binoculars....... Lots of books about Skye and good information on walks and attractions. We used the fire in the evening with coal and wood supplied. The views across the loch were lovely, we sat watching the view and weather - even saw a pair of white tailed eagles. The location was great for what we wanted, Dunvegan and Glendale had the closest shops if you needed them. We visited Portree for a boat trip, Coral Beach, Old Man of Storr, Fairy Pools, Fairy Glen, Neist Point and walked to Glendale and up to the mast where we saw Golden Eagles. Unfortunately most cafes were closed due to being out of season (which we expected), but the roads and car parks were lovely and quiet! Do your research about the roads in Skye. There are many potholes across the island, the lanes leading to the cottage are similar. There are plenty of passing places in the narrow areas.Great communication from the owner before and once we arrived.

What a fantastic cottage, with absolutely amazing views . It was very clean and tidy and very well equipped from kitchen equipment , appliances, to toiletries and cleaning products this was well appreciated 😀 as well as the welcome pack on arrival for both us and our dog kylo . 🐕🦺In the evening we had the multi fuel fire on it was lovely and with all the logs and coal supplied, a fantastic bonus 😀 the garden was safe and secure for our small dog , but he also had some grounds out side the gate he could run around in. It's also great place to stay as we were closer to some of the great attractions there, on skye like ie fairly falls , coral beach and much more 😀 I would highly recommend this cottage we are definitely be going back again 😀 👍

We enjoyed our stay over the New Year. The cottage is warm and cozy with everything you need in the kitchen. The view over the loch was amazing, I’ll be through a binoculars. We could see seal playing and swimming around and we watch the boats go backwards and forwards checking the pots.. you just have to be careful when opening the door to let your dog out because occasionally sheep will come to visit our dog is a big dog he is used to sheep so he wasn’t overly bothered. The hosts were very kind as it was when the bad snow came during New Year week and they were very flexible about the time we were leaving and gave excellent advice.
