Cottage was in a lovely remote location, which suited us fine. Kitchen well equipped. TV reception excellent. Excellent base for exploring the area and beyond and spotting various breeds of deer, golden eagle and other wildlife. This was our second visit and looking forward to our third.R&SCheshire

If you want complete seclusion this is the place for you. Slap bang in the middle of nowhere it was perfect for a quiet week of complete relaxation. If you want bars shops and restaurants this probably isn’t the place for you.Wonderfully equipped for everything you could possibly need and spotlessly clean. Nature was literally just on the doorstep. If I had to find a tiny flaw it could benefit from a new shower head.

Disappointed that despite the ideal location there was little attempt to enable bird and mammal viewing. No bird tables or feed point with which the local wildlife could be attracted. Never saw a Deer or Pine Marten despite placing two 'Trail' remote cameras 24/7. This was a shame. Even bird life was scarce. We heard Woodpeckers and cuckoos in the nearby trees but nothing visible. Only active birds were the House Martins on the cottages up the track. We did see a Goldie briefly high overhead.OK place for walks, lovely cottage but why no Wildlife? Not even a Dipper in the river. (We DID look! several times.)However the cottage itself was well equipped and extremely comfortable.
