No smoking.. This delightful detached holiday cottage (pronounced ‘Thistle Doo’) enjoys a peaceful setting in the picturesque village of Drumnadrochit close to the shores of Loch Ness. The cottage makes an ideal base for exploring Loch Ness, Urquhart Castle, the scenic west coast and Inverness, the Highland capital. Super area for mountain biking, forest walks, climbing, and boat trips – also with an abundance of wildlife a wonderful area for the nature lover. Near to the Great Glen Way, Glen Affric and Glen Urquhart there is plenty to do, or simply relax and take in the atmosphere and enjoy the Highland hospitality. Shop, pub, restaurant and takeaway ¼ mile.

We loved this cottage and stayed 2 weeks. Our Hosts Margaret and Brian were a pleasure to meet and we had everything we needed. The cottage was spotlessly clean and Margaret was very supportive of us during storm Amy which hit while we were there, ensuring we had all we might need. We recommend this property fully.

A lovely clean, comfy, modern cottage in a peaceful and pretty location. Very considerate hosts who ensured we had everything we could possibly need and the welcome basket was really appreciated after our long drive. We would definitely return and recommend it to anyone thinking of visiting the area. We had some beautiful walks from the doorstep and also loved visiting Inverness, Glen Affic, Urqhart Castle and then Glenfinnan, Glencoe and Oban on the way home. Fantastic. We'll be back.
