There are walks out into the hillsides from your doorstep or why not head down to the beautiful conservation village of Kenmore at the end of Loch Tay for the day? There’s a good selection of quality places to eat and drink including the oldest inn in Scotland which was visited by Robbie Burns, who penned a poem on the wall in the bar, which can be seen still. The village has a local shop and post office, a deli and small retail centre. Visit Croft na Caber Centre, which is a reconstruction of an Iron Age stilted dwelling, or have a picnic on the lovely loch beach.

Aberfeldy is just 6 miles away and has a great selection of local shops, galleries, eating places, cinema, a whisky distillery, an award-winning book shop, riverside walks and The Birks Of Aberfeldy, a beautiful walk immortalised by Robbie Burns. Nearby there are a whole host of visitor attractions, a Highland safari exploring the mountains, where you can spot local wildlife including deer, or you can visit Castle Menzies and many historic buildings and gardens.

A perfect location for an adventure holiday outdoors, there are activities to suit all nearby including water sports on Loch Tay, horse riding, golf, fishing, cycling and mountain bike trails, plus amazing walking and climbing with seven Munros within 10 miles, including Ben Lawers, Perthshire’s highest mountain, and Shiehallion.
