A pleasant wooden lodge in the Highland village of Kilchoan, Ardnamurchan in Scotland. A small family wanting a relaxing, remote holiday would find this the perfect spot. The Chalet is situated amongst beautiful countryside on the outskirts of Kilchoan village, with a few steps taking you up to the property. Immediately you are welcomed with the warming open plan living area with wood-panelled walls giving the place a rustic, homely feel. The sitting area comes with two comfortable sofas and a TV, there is no better place to sit and let your hair down in this secluded location, with the breath-taking views of the scenery over the Sound of Mull to accompany it. The kitchen is compact yet surprisingly well-equipped, boasting all of the appliances you will need during your stay. The bedrooms are cosy and comfortable. The Chalet comes with an enclosed lawn, when the weather chirps up, sit out on the covered decking and just take in the phenomenal views on show. The village of Kilchoan is pretty and secluded, offering quiet beaches as well as a village shop, post office, petrol station and local pub.The closest town with a range of amenities and activities is Tobermory, which is 30 minute ferry ride away, a popular choice with a lot of visitors to Kilchoan. Tobermory, the principal town on the isle of Mull, is a pretty bustling town with a busy pier, museum and aquarium amongst its many attractions. The Chalet at Ben Hiant is a warming little lodge in a simply amazing location.
The village of Kilchoan is the most westerly village in mainland Britain, on the Ardnamurchan Peninsula and surrounded by mountains and coastal views. The area close to Kilchoan offers beaches and an wildlife with eagles regularly spotted. The village has a shop, pub, restaurant and community centre. From Mingary Pier there is a regular ferry service to Tobermory which gives the opportunity to explore the islands of Mull and Iona. There are wildlife excursions and the new Ardnamurchan Distillery and Natural History Centre. A short drive away is Ardnamurchan Point complete with a lighthouse and visitor centre, or perhaps you simply want to sit on Sanna Beach and enjoy the views across the clear blue sea to the islands of Muck, Eigg and Rum?
