Guests say

Baldow Cottage is praised for its comfort, homely feel, and excellent location for exploring the Cairngorms. Guests enjoyed the Aga, open fire, and the views, despite some development nearby. The property is well-equipped, though some noted it could benefit from additional bathrooms and modernisation. The surrounding wildlife and proximity to local attractions add to its charm.

Most guests found the cottage clean and tidy, though there were comments about dishes with crumbs and cobwebs, suggesting room for improvement in cleanliness.

The location is generally appreciated for its proximity to local attractions and nature, but some guests were disappointed by nearby development and traffic noise.

The cottage is frequently described as comfortable and cosy, with a warm Aga and open fire. However, some guests mentioned worn furniture and difficulty sleeping due to heat.

Facilities like the Aga, Sky TV, and spacious outdoor area were well-received, but guests suggested the addition of a second bathroom and outdoor furniture. Some maintenance issues were also noted.

There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the hosts, so it is not possible to provide a score in this category.

It was even better than the pictures, spotlessly clean, incredibly cozy, and had everything we needed. The location was peaceful and beautiful. We can't wait to come back again. Highly recommend!

Excellent facilities and really convenient. An absolutely brilliant place to stay.

is very unfortunate. We believed to have booked a remote cottage in the mountains north of and far from the A9. Instead the cottage is located inside Kincraig beside the B9152 which passes the garden and turned out to be very noisy from heavy traffic. Furthermore the images provided are not up to date esp. as far as the view out of the windows is concerned. You do not look out on to a nice meadow but at the houses of a new settlement. We recommend to let customers know this before booking. To find sleep in the first floor with the AGA oven set permanently to level 5 (as instructed by the owners) is a challenge when outside temperatures are above 25°C over the day and do not fall beneath 20°C at night. In the end we enjoyed our stay in Baldow Cottage because the surroundings are outstanding.
