Mackenzie cottage was perfect. Clean, warm, well equipped and adorned with lots of quirky Scottishness. Local amenities like shop, cafe, bars, weekly fishmonger and market were all very close. Walks from the door are plentiful. A short drive takes you to beaches, gardens, cafes, historic points of interest. Communication with the owners was easy and very helpful.

Lovely comfortable and beautifully furnished cottage. There’s a nice little garden with views across the war memorial to the loch, a great enclosed park for doggy exercise and nice level walks along the front of the loch easily accessible. Comfortable beds and seating, excellent decor and kitchen/dining space. Will definitely be back, great value for money off season!

Stayed there 11/oct/25 for a week, loved the location, very quiet which is what we wanted. the cottage has everything you need and is very comfortable and best of all if you bring your pooch with you there is a small park literally several feet away from the front door.In the village there is a well stocked mace shop, a couple of dog friendly cafes and an hotel, [dog friendly] which was sadly closed for the season whilst we were there.plenty to go and see if you do not mind travelling, overall we had a great week
