Jubilee Cottage in Portree is highly praised for its stunning views, comfortable accommodation, and welcoming owners. Guests appreciate the thoughtful touches like homemade cakes and the enclosed garden for pets. The location is ideal for exploring Skye, with wildlife sightings and a peaceful setting adding to the experience. Some minor issues with maintenance and garden security are noted, but overall, guests leave with fond memories and a desire to return.
The majority of guests found the cottage to be clean and comfortable. However, a few mentioned the presence of dog hairs and suggested that it could be cleaner. The positive remarks far outweigh the negatives, indicating a high level of cleanliness overall.
The location is consistently lauded for its beauty, tranquillity, and proximity to local amenities. The sea views and wildlife sightings contribute to an exceptional setting. The only drawback mentioned is the garden's security for pets, which does not detract significantly from the location's appeal.
Guests find the cottage very comfortable, with special mentions of the conservatory and the well-equipped living spaces. The twin beds are noted as comfortable, and the wood burning stove adds to the cosy atmosphere. There are no significant complaints about comfort.
Facilities are generally well-received, with the cottage being well-equipped for guests' needs. Some guests experienced issues with electronics not always working and suggested improvements like a hairdryer and faster internet. The presence of a wood burning stove and well-stocked kitchen are positives.
The owners' thoughtfulness is frequently mentioned, with guests touched by the homemade cakes and shortbread. While these gifts are warmly received, it's important to note that such personal touches, though common, are not guaranteed for every stay.
