It is situated in a quiet backwater on a no through road close to the centre of Portree. Taigh Mhairi (Gaelic for Mhairi’s house) is named after the owner’s mother whose ancestors have lived on Skye for many generations. The property boasts a large lounge/dining room with an attractive open fire as its focal point. The pretty bedrooms and bright modern kitchen and bathroom all combine to offer a beautifully presented cottage with a real homely feel.

Location of the cottage is great however the front garden and drive needs attention to many weeds and overgrown trees bushes The kitchen is very well equipped the conservatory type furniture in living room was uncomfortable bed was clean and comfortable and slept well as the area is peaceful and quiet

We had a great time here. Yes the front garden was a little overgrown but we really liked the gardens. There is a lovely little forest nearby which is great for walking the dog. The bungalow has everything we needed. The location is great for Portree. We would definitely stay again.
