Climb up to Fyrish Monument (11 miles) where you will be rewarded by breathtaking panoramic views over the Cromarty Firth. You can pick up amenities and find several cosy and welcoming eateries 3.5 miles away in the attractive town of Alness. Find sandy shores at Shandwick Beach (13 miles) and Dornoch (20 miles). If you fancy a taste of Scottish whisky, there are two historic distilleries nearby, Glenmorangie (13 miles) or Balblair (15 miles). This is a perfect spot for a stay on your NC500 trip, or a simple laid-back location for a quiet and romantic weekend away.

To one side of the property’s open-plan space is a compact yet practical kitchen with everything you need to rustle up breakfasts, lunches and dinners, alongside a breakfast bar. A comfortable sofa and Smart TV adorn the other side, so you can curl up and watch films in the evening. The welcoming double bedroom at the back of the lodge is a sumptuous space to unwind and has its own Smart TV. Adjacent is a stylish shower room.
Outside, the enclosed patio area has garden furniture where you can sit and enjoy an evening tipple underneath the starry sky, alongside a bubbling hot tub where you can soak away the day. You will also have access to the shared on-site sauna and BBQ house.
