Cuillin View is a beautiful cottage which has been treated with great love and care in keeping it looking like the traditional cottage that it is. Sitting in front of the wood burner in the evening reminiscing on the day’s adventures and planning for the next, you don’t need to go far to have a great day as you have the option to go to the local beach in Torrin. Cuillin View is a great location to be based for touring the island, the nearest town is Broadford which is 6 miles away, whilst the main town of Portree is 25 miles north. The journey to Cuillin View can be made on one of the ferries which take you to the south of the island, or the famous Skye bridge, whichever way you will have wonderful and dramatic scenery to view. This magnificent island is steeped in local history and landmarks; if you enjoy hiking you can climb the Cuillins or Blaven Mountain.
Go on one of the Elgol boat trips and see Skye from the outside in, or visit Neist Point Lighthouse which is the most westerly tip of Skye. The Fairy Pools are situated at the base of the Cuillins, a short drive from Tallisker distillery. On the north of the island, you can visit the dinosaur footprints, the Old man of Storr or the Quirang for scenic walks. Scottish Licence Number HI-30108-F

What an amazing place!! We have been there for 3 days during our round trip through Scotland and I loved the cottage so much! ideal for us 3 as a familiy, we could cook, we were hiking in the area, had some very good cakes and coffee at Amys close by and enjoyed the fire place in the living room in the evening! Thank you very much and we can highly recommend this place! :-)

Cuillin View is gelegen in Torrin, op Skye. Een fantastisch mooie plek. De cottage ligt heel mooi en geeft een fraai uitzicht. De cottage is niet groot, en alles heeft er een plekje in gekregen. De cottage op zichzelf heeft voldoende voorzieningen. Alle dagen dat wij er waren scheen de zon volop en was de temperatuur rond de 23 graden CelsiusAlle ingrediënten zijn dus aanwezig om een maximale score uit te delen.Dat het eindresultaat uiteindelijk niet hoger scoort dan 3 sterren ligt deels in de wijze waarop de cottage is ingericht en deels in het schoonhouden ervanDe cottage was bij onze aankomst niet goed schoon. De keuken was wat 'smoezelig', de dode vliegen lagen in de vensterbank en op de lampen lag een laagje stof.Het feit dat de cottage niet zo groot is, is (door de indeling) ook reden voor een lagere waardering. Er is op de bovenverdieping geen enkele sanitaire voorziening; de trap van beneden naar boven is krap en heeft 'moeilijke' treden en het toilet is geïntegreerd in de badkamer. Beneden is geen goede slaapmogelijkheid.Wij waren een gezelschap, bestaande uit vier volwassenen, waarvan twee moeilijk ter been waren. Dan is het 's morgens 'vechten om het toilet en/of de badkamer', en belangrijker: 's nachts moet een moeilijke trap worden bedwongen om bij het toilet te komen. Dat is echt een belangrijk minpunt. Een toilet op de verdieping zou een groot winstpunt zijn.En als een toilet op de verdieping niet mogelijk is, dan zou een toilet buiten de badkamer ook nog wel wat helpend zijn.
