Very good things: Beautiful large house. Good sized rooms. Having the living areas upstairs means the views are even more spectacular. The smaller living room has a huge window and great natural light. The views from the top of the garden is even nicer as the garden slope upwards. The balcony is really big and the garden furniture is very comfy. The location is peaceful. You think you are deep in the countryside but reassured that the local Tesco is just a short drive away. Ullapool is a lovely village with many pubs and restaurants. The kitchen is very well equipped, but It may take a while to figure out how to use the hob and microwave though, as they are very fancy.Once it eventually heated up, the house was nice and warm and the underfloor heating was set to a comfortable temperature (please see below)Things that would have made our stay even more enjoyable than it already was:The house was very cold on the night of our arrival (Friday night) and it did not heat up until Saturday evening. I’m just speculating but it seems it takes 24 hours for the underfloor heating to warm the house to the set temperature. If there are gaps between guests, putting on the heating about 24 hours before the guests arrive. The big living room has a wood burning stove, but it did not heat the room up properly. We had to leave one of the two stove doors slightly ajar to allow some heat in. Would I stay in Corrie Burn villa again? Yes I would and I hope to do so in the future. It was a lovely way to spend a long weekend with friends and family.
