Roslin Chapel Cottage is a welcoming and comfortable base for exploring Roslin and Edinburgh, praised for its cleanliness, spaciousness, and excellent location near local amenities, scenic walks, and the renowned Rosslyn Chapel. Guests appreciated the friendly and attentive host, as well as the easy access to public transport and nearby dining options. While a few minor maintenance issues and missing items were noted, these did not detract from the overall positive experience. The cottage is especially popular with dog owners and those seeking a peaceful yet convenient stay.

Most guests found the cottage very clean and tidy, with only occasional minor issues such as a kitchen bin needing extra attention and some worn place mats. These were exceptions rather than the rule.

The location is highly praised, with guests loving the proximity to Rosslyn Chapel, local pubs, cafes, scenic walks, and easy access to Edinburgh by bus or car.

Guests consistently described the cottage as comfortable, cosy, and spacious, with only minor comments about bed size and the need for extra mats in the bathroom.

The cottage is well-equipped and functional, though some guests noted issues such as a tricky dishwasher, intermittent hot water, and a blunt bread knife. Most facilities met expectations, with a few areas for improvement.

The host was frequently mentioned as attentive and welcoming, checking in to ensure guests were settled and responding quickly to issues. While some guests mentioned the absence of a welcome hamper, gifts or extras are not guaranteed.

The cottage is in an excellent location very near a really great pub restaurant literally 2 minutes away the staff were lovely there, also all major supermarkets are within 10 minutes also a short walk to Rosslyn chapel not to be missed &2 small local supermarkets The cottage is well equipped and comfortable and has really a lovely garden.Minor issues are the sky box is in a cupboard and that needs you to get up and point it to use sky & the signal went off at regular intervals also the hot water in the downstairs shower was hit and miss other than that we had a lovely time and in the cottage we were in we had off road parking

Generally a comfortable, clean cottage but didn’t appreciate 1. The lack of a welcome hamper - and asked that this be noted in the listing 2. Furry mould at bottom of kitchen bin which really needed a good scouring with bleach and a long handled brush, but I did what I could with what was to hand3. Tired and peeling coaster and place mats. Plus chipped crockery, no scales, no bread bin, no butter dish4. A very blunt bread knife which nearly caused a nasty injury 5. Wrong mobile number in cottage manual, so I reassured the poor woman who had got my texts and called me as she was thoroughly fed up about being contacted that I would sort it.These issues were drawn to the owners and agents’ attention and where possible sorted swiftly and to my satisfaction

Very comfortable cottage very close to the Rosslyn Chapel. A short walk to an excellent restaurant and coffee shop.It would have been appreciated if there had been a bath mat and a shower mat.
