Large, lawned garden with decking and garden furniture. On road parking. No smoking. Please note: There are steps to the decking area.. Bay View is a red sandstone terraced house dating back to the 19th century. It has recently been renovated (2021) and extended to provide a spacious and comfortable home; this includes a kitchen update, complete with underfloor heating. The living room now has a cosy wood burner and new sofas. There are also two new bathrooms, including a large head shower.
The master bedroom with a super kingsize bed, has a Juliet balcony which overlooks the large, south facing rear garden. It is situated in an elevated position in the centre of Brodick and within walking distance to shops, bars and restaurants, the beach, play park and golf club.
Due to its elevated position, it has fabulous views over Brodick Bay and Goatfell, and its central location makes it the perfect base for your Arran holiday.

This is our second visit to Bayview and we go for the incredible location. The view from the sitting room window of the Goatfell is stunning. However we do agree with other reviews that the house does need some maintenance work and if this was done then it would make the house perfect.

Extremely disappointing. The description for the property needs updating and investment and maintenance desperately needed.On arrival there was a notice to say that the back door was broken and could not be used, apparently reported by the previous guest. We should have been informed of this, as use of the garden was a reason for booking this property. I believe this was not a new issue as the guest book and reviews had comments raising the issue several weeks before.The bathrooms described as ‘new’ need updating, no trap in the shower, paper wrapped around pipes. The mattresses in the double bedrooms desperately need replacing, they were uncomfortable and stained. We needed to wash the mattress covers as these were also stained. Bed linen also needs replacing.The underfloor heating in the kitchen did not work and the kitchen ceiling badly stained from previous leaks. There was also an infestation of shrews in the kitchen and back lounge.The location of the property was excellent and great views from the front, the kitchens was well equipped. With some investment and TLC it could be a great cottage but in its current state it is not the quality expected from cottages.com

House location was great, amazing sea views and central for Brodick. Our feedback on the house is mixed, half the beds were great, the other half (2 double beds) need replaced. The general finish was average, there was a wonky toilet seat, stair carpet is loose/slippy, clock battery not working (we replaced it!) , cobwebs quite a lot, front windows weren’t clean outside (we cleaned them!), hair on bedroom floors and in drawers when we arrived etc. . It was well equipped and there was plenty of room for everyone as lots of little sitting areas. The light kitchen area was great to sit in. One TV didn’t have an aerial. Hot water tap in kitchen didn’t always give hot water. The back door was broken so couldn’t be used which wasn’t great and not mentioned in advance or any discount offered.
