Set in a tranquil location with stunning countryside views, The Stables is the perfect place to relax. This detached cottage is situated on the outskirts of the small hamlet of Shiskine, and the main living space which is open plan with the kitchen and dining area, takes in the views from all angles. French doors open out to the back garden with patio area, where guests can enjoy the views with a glass of wine. In the morning, throw open the bedroom curtains and relax in bed with a morning coffee and take in the beautiful views. The wood burner makes this cottage really cosy in the cooler months, so great for a winter getaway.
The Stables has been built to take advantage of the stunning countryside, and is in the grounds of the main house which is not a permanent residence. Access to the property is shared, with The Stables having its own parking space and private garden. Blackwaterfoot is less than 2 miles away where there are many amenities, it offers a convenience store, butchers, bakers and a hotel with leisure facilities, including a restaurant and bar which may be used by non residents. There is also a beach and golf club, Blackwaterfoot is known for its amazing pink sunsets, which guests may be lucky to experience during their stay. Beach 2 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.

A wonderful week at the Stables, very comfortable, clean and well equipped.A lovely spot with beautiful views across the valley of Shiskin. Only a couple of miles to Blackwaterfoot.

This cottage is perfect for us. Set in the valley of Shiskine, beautiful views from every window, and the kitchen has everything we need. We are repeat visitors and the updated decor, artwork(gorgeous!)and new settee allowed us to watch snow storms, sunsets, sunrises and all the local wildlife in warmth and comfort. I have read other reviews, you cannot please everyone however we have a home from home in this place. There are books to read, serenity and beauty within the valley views, no light pollution so a great view of the night sky. We can see the weather coming across Blackwaterfoot beach for walks with our wee westie. If you do have the choice of a one bedroom cottage on Arran choose this one, you will go back to your home missing every day spent looking out these fabulous windows. A real home from home! Booked again for this winter and next year too!
