About this property

Cleeves Cabins 1, Ailsa Luxury Lodge with hot tub is a well-appointed holiday cabin resting in Dalry, close to the west coast of Scotland, enjoying parking on arrival, a private, wood-fired hot tub, and superb far-reaching views towards the Ayrshire coast and the Firth of Clyde. Set in an elevated position, this single-storey, studio-style hideaway is a great choice for a couple’s break, or for a small family or a few friends travelling together, with a king-size bed and an additional single sofa bed tucked into the open-plan layout for an additional guest.

Step inside and the space flows effortlessly from kitchen to dining area to sitting area, making it easy to slip into holiday mode. Pop the kettle on, plan the day’s adventures, then gather around the dining table for a hearty meal after time outdoors. As evening draws in, settle into the sitting area with the Smart TV on in the background, while the view outside shifts with the light across sea, valley and mountains.

The true highlight waits out on the decking: an eco-friendly, wood-fired hot tub paired with patio furniture for lingering mornings and unhurried evenings. Picture sinking into warm bubbles as the sky darkens, making the most of those starry-night moments right on your doorstep.

When it’s time to explore, aim for the Ayrshire beaches and coastline, with Ardrossan and Stevenston offering easy access to sea air and shoreline scenery. For a change of pace, Glasgow sits within driving distance for a full day of city exploring, while keen walkers and cyclists can head for Clyde Muirshiel Regional Park. If the great outdoors calls again, make the journey to Galloway Forest Park or head to Dark Skies Park for some stargazing. However you spend your days, Cleeves Cabins 1, Ailsa Luxury Lodge with hot tub in Dalry makes a memorable base.

Dalry, or St. John’s Town of Dalry, to give it its full title, is a village in Kirkcudbrightshire and is on the route of the ancient pilgrimage from Edinburgh to Whithorn and St Ninian’s Cave. The Knights Hospitaller of the Order of St. John of Jerusalem owned much of the land around the village and offered particular support to pilgrims undertaking the journey. The village today is attractive and has two pubs offering meals and a general store. The nearby towns of New Galloway and Castle Douglas provide more opportunities for shopping. Ideally located for walking, fishing and cycling, the surrounding Galloway Forest Park is home to some of the renowned 7stanes cycle venues and also boasts the UK’s first Dark Sky Park.
