A cosy cottage set in a rural location, surrounded by beautiful Perthshire countryside, this cottage is centrally located for exploring Perthshire, the east coast and north to the Cairngorms.. 7 steps to entrance.

Please note: There is a sloping bank and a fenced drop in the garden!. Relax and enjoy a well-deserved break in this idyllic little semi-detached cottage. Set in the tiny hamlet of Kettins just 1½ miles from the market town of Coupar Angus, it is a pastoral delight, with whitewashed walls surrounded by attractive gardens. The cottages is set up a few steps from a tiny village green with a small stream meandering past. Inside, the cottage has been tastefully furnished and retains some original features including arched doorways, high ceilings and wooden floors, with a cosy open fire in the living room leading through to a small kitchen/dining room. At the back the sunny sheltered patio slopes upward to a lovely lawn and is perfect for alfresco meals.
A walkers and cyclists paradise, there are plenty of waymarked paths through arable countryside of the Vale of Strathmore through Meigle, Ardler and Coupar Angus to the more challenging glens beyond Blairgowrie. Renowned for its soft fruit, there are plenty of good cafes and restaurants nearby showcasing local produce, and a good range of shops locally and further afield in Dundee and Perth. Glamis Castle, the childhood home of H.M Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother, and the Pictish Stone Museum are well worth a visit and the cottage is within half an hour of the Cairngorms National Park. The ski slopes at Glenshee are a short drive and Pitlochry is within easy reach. Golfers have plenty of courses to choose from including Rosemount and Carnoustie, or explore the clean sandy beaches strung out along the east coast. Beach 19 miles. Shop and pub 1¾ miles, restaurant 3 miles.

In 30+ years of holidays this has to be one of the best cottages we've stayed in. Spotlessly clean. Warm and cosy. All the comforts of home. Great welcome pack and having a PDF sent prior helped as well. Great location for exploring the local area and walks from the front door. Very peaceful. Can recommend the local farm shop for fresh fruit etc.

My friend and I really enjoyed our stay here and wish we’d booked for longer. The setting was just beautiful with a fantastic view from the front garden. Although we had good weather we didn’t make the most of the large garden as we might have as we spent our days exploring the surrounding area and enjoying some beautiful walks. The cottage was extremely dog friendly with towels, toys and dishes available to use. My dog, Frankie, certainly enjoyed the garden, especially when he discovered he could get under the hedge to the gardens on either side! Fortunately, the owner had let me know there was a corkscrew post with a long line which we then used to ensure Frankie could run about but not escape.We had issues using the TV, despite instructions available in the handbook, and the two radios but this didn’t detract from our stay.As well as the handbook located in the cottage, the owner also sent a PDF containing a summary of the handbook. However, this “summary” actually contained more information than the other book, including information on what to do on departure and the fact there was the corkscrew post to allow dogs freedom in the garden without escaping. Perhaps these two documents could be combined?
