Cotlea East Cottage is a real find - a beautifully furnished stone cottage with all the trappings you need for an indulgent and restful holiday with your friends or family. It features gorgeous furnishings and not one, but two, wood burners; one in the cosy living room and one in the dining room. There are also comfortable beds and a brilliant modern wet room. Attached to the owners’ property, the cottage has a large, secluded, fully enclosed garden with fine views over the fields and makes a delightful setting for a barbeque or al fresco meal. There is a large field attached to the property, roughly seven acres, perfect for dog/guests exercise.
Situated just 3 miles from the small town of Alyth, the property has a wealth of attractions and amenities within easy reach. There are some great golf courses here along with super walks in the Den of Alyth, a wooded glen on the outskirts of the town. A few miles beyond is the bustling market town of Blairgowrie with its good selection of shops, restaurants and leisure facilities. Heading west, enjoy a scenic route to the popular town of Pitlochry with its theatre, shops and fish ladder. In the winter months try your hand at skiing at Glenshee, just 20 miles away, or travel a little further and enjoy the stunning scenery of Braemar. Golf, horse riding, hill walking and cycling are all available in abundance in this lovely area. Beautiful beaches (many year round dog friendly) along with stunning coastline only a 40 minute drive away including the University town of St. Andrews with its spectacular beach and world famous golf course.

Alison and Gary are exceptional hosts and nothing is too much trouble. The cottage is immaculately clean, extremely homely and beautifully decorated. The dogs loved the fact there was a massive field to play in.We will definitely rebook and are looking forward to exploring the area further.Thank you for a wonderful stay!

This was our second visit to Cotlea cottage and we had a wonderful stay despite the best efforts of the weather!The cottage is so homely, and has everything you need for your stay. Having the owners next door is great and nothing was too much trouble for them. From a fresh supply of wood each day to recommendations for eating out in the local area they were very helpful.Our border collie Ted settles so well in this cottage and the field next to the cottage is excellent for walking the dog without having to travel or cross any roads.Thank you to Gary & Alison for another wonderful stay, we will definitely return in the future, we just love the place!

Cotlea cottage is beautifully decorated to a very high standard with everything you could possibly need. It's location is excellent for exploring the area with lots of walks nearby. Dog secure garden with a large exercise field. Alison and Gary are excellent attentive hosts. Much appreciated welcome pack and logs every morning for log burner. Will definitely be returning to this lovely relaxing cottage.n
